Aimed at existing design leaders, the program this year will go deeper into some of the themes expressed at UX Australia 2021, such as:
Diversity, equality and the decolonisation of design
Recruiting, interviewing, building, and managing inclusive teams
Fostering trust and collaboration across remote teams during a pandemic
This is an opportunity for the Australian design leadership community to share experiences, explore meaningful topics, discuss and debate design approaches and learn from each other.
Ideal for senior designer managers and leaders looking to be more proactive in maturing the design practice within their organisation. This is an opportunity to openly discuss leadership and management challenges with trusted peers, and gain solid strategies for steering the teams that design great things.
Ticket sales have ended.

The one-day event will take place fully online on Thursday, November 25 from 9 am - 5 pm.
In her workshop ‘Inclusive design workplaces - diverse people designing inclusive products’, Winitha Bonney OAM will provide practical tools and techniques to immediately update your hiring practices, examine your unconscious biases, and analyse your team’s situation and needs with a more inclusive eye. See the program for more details.
The afternoon will focus on how design leaders are managing teams and projects in the pandemic, with changed ways of working and new challenges posed by remote work environments. Forum activities include short presentations, facilitated discussions and workshop-like sessions. See the program for more details.
Design Leadership 2021 is organised by the UX Events Team; Steve Baty, Annabelle Robb, Claire Mahoney and Jasmine Croker.
