Delivery

  • The leadership forum is in-person only. The forum is not available to attend online, not recorded and no resources are made available. Forum tickets need to purchased separately to conference tickets.
  • The conference is delivered in a hybrid format. This means attendees can attend online or in-person. This also means some speakers will present in-person while others will present online. All conference ticket holders will have access to watch all conference presentations delivered on November 15.
All conference ticket holders will be sent a recording of the conference post-event and have access to presentation resources. In-person and online tickets are sold separately.

Speaking at the conference

Calls for proposals are now closed. Calls for proposals were open from 15 July to 04 September. All proposals were reviewed by their suitability for the #DL2022 event programme. After the submissions closed all those who submitted presentations were contacted.

What we looked for

The kinds of presentations we favour are experience-based and contain real-life stories and lessons. We want to know why you’re passionate about the topic and how you think your experiences will be meaningful to others.

We try to provide a place for experienced speakers and new presenters to share their ideas and work. We will be looking for proposals that match the theme, or approach it in an innovative way.

The audience at Design Leadership is predominantly leads, managers, directors and heads.

In all proposals, we’re expecting:

  • Clarity of ideas - Focused ideas that are clearly and persuasively expressed in the summary pitch.
  • Real stories - Topics based on your demonstrable, practical experience.
  • Fresh perspectives - New and interesting insights beyond what we all discover in our first couple of years working.
  • Substance - Enough detail for us to get a clear idea of the presentation narrative and objectives.
  • Outcomes - Especially for workshops, we’re looking for clear outcomes and learning objectives.
