March 2022 Meetup

Setting expectations in the Australian UX job market

In March, our partner Aquent will lead a discussion about how employers and candidates can set expectations for roles in this changing market and workplace conditions.

Firstly Kate Verran will discuss how to describe and set expectations of what you can do. She will discuss what flexibility means to candidates, and how remote working has supported flexibility for parents, carers and neurodiverse people. Now that we are now moving into hybrid, Kate will lay out how to position yourself.

Rosie McAllister will focus on the three aspects of roles that candidates are looking for and how hiring managers can address them, including;

  1. Salary
  2. Blend of remote/in-person
  3. Projects
