Workshops

Facilitating a workshop at #UXA2024

WORKSHOP PROPOSALS AT UX AUSTRALIA 2024 NOW OPEN

We’re planning a rich and diverse event program for 2023, encompassing all areas of design and UX practice.

We try to provide a place for experienced speakers and new presenters to share their ideas and facilitate workshops. Talks and workshops are selected from a pool of submissions from those in the design community. We will be looking for proposals that match the focus, or approach it in an innovative way.

#UXA2023 Focus

In 2023, we'd like to hear from people, companies and brands who are pushing design in new and interesting ways. Workshops should achieve this through a practical, hands-on approach.

What we're looking for

  • Clarity of ideas - Focused ideas that are clearly and persuasively expressed in the summary pitch.

  • Real examples - Relevant examples that are demonstratable and practical.

  • Fresh perspectives - New and interesting insights beyond what we all discover in our first couple of years working.

  • Substance - Enough detail for us to get a clear idea of the workshop theme and objectives.

  • Outcomes - Especially for workshops, we’re looking for clear outcomes and learning objectives.

  • Relevance - Tell us why this is relevant to the #UXA2024 audience and why it must be included in the program.

The audience at UX Australia includes a mix of industries including Design, Education, Government, Software and Finance, and attendees job titles predominately include;

  • UX Designers

  • Product Designers

  • Project Managers

  • Service Designers

  • UI Designers

  • Team Leads
