April Meetup Hosted by Aquent

Our first meet up will take place online via a free Zoom Meeting on April 14, 5:30 pm

Registration is closed. Read a summary on the meetup here

Hosted by Aquent, this meet up is for all those who identify as a woman working in design. This meet up in particular is tailored towards women who are new to design, recent graduates, changing roles or looking to understand their next career move. This meet up will include a mix of short talks, open discussions, activities and networking. Feel free to bring along a drink of choice and share amongst your network!

We'll kick off the meet up with a short introduction and a chance for all attendees to say hello! We'll follow this with three short talks presented by Aquent's Rosie McAlister, Kate Verran and Monique Richards.

Rosie will take a deep-dive into the latest UX market trends and go over what the current gender pay gap looks like in the digital space.
Kate will follow on with resources to help you understand the current market and build yourself a business case.
Monique will finish us off with a 4 step strategy to help you own your worth and name your price.

After a quick break, attendees will split into breakout rooms for open discussions and activities.

  • Activity 1 will be an open discussion and activity to map where you currently are in your career and where you aspire to be.
  • Activity 2 will provide you with a Personal Brand Toolkit, to help you tell your career story.

The meet up is facilitated by UX career coach and mentor Mags Hanley, and UX Australia's Event Manager Annabelle Robb
