Uncertainty in experience design: An explorer’s journey

This meetup takes place via Zoom meeting on Wednesday, 12 July at 5:30 pm. 

When faced with an ambiguous situation, many people will panic and resort to status quo in order to maintain control.

But in the quest to design exceptional products and services, we are presented with an awe-inspiring challenge: we set foot on uncharted territory, unsure of what lies ahead. But fear not, for uncertainty is the fertile ground where groundbreaking solutions take root!

At this meetup, we'll hear from Liquid Interactive’s Maryne Muroni. She will take you through her firsthand experiences, hacks and tricks gained from traversing the unpredictable landscapes of service design. You will learn how to better navigate uncertainty and overcome obstacles by adapting your attitude, sharpening your skills, and building a supportive ecosystem. 

 

Maryne is a dedicated strategic thinker who is passionate about leveraging research, innovation, and emerging technologies to address social issues and drive behaviour change.

With more than 12 years’ experience exploring how people use and interact with digital services, Maryne oversees the service design process at Liquid Interactive.

She advises and assists government agencies in deploying their digital transformation projects confidently and at scale, focusing on complex and regulated sectors like mental health and aged care.

Maryne believes everyone should be provided opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life. She is committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible to create meaningful and impactful service experiences. 

 

 

 

Who's it for:

This meetup is for designers of all levels interested in understanding their current role and position within the design industry. It is open to all those who identify as women working in design.
