Intuitive user interface for power wheelchairs
This research is intended to create a concise and practical model to assess device interaction by identifying common errors, quantifying users’ performance and emotional response, comparing discrepancies in users’ abilities, and comparing design intention and practical use. The model is based on cognitive information processing with emphasis on practicality.
My name is Rory Horne; I’m currently completing my Masters of Engineering at the University of Canterbury. I have an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and have always had a strong interest in psychology. Now I can incorporate my two passions in my postgraduate studies focusing on user experience design.
