Research Synthesis: Why do we do it the way we do, where did it come from, and is there another way?
Where did the way that we do design research analysis and synthesis come from? There are other ways to do qualitative research analysis, so why did this way become our way? This talk is about the history, present and future of a method that we all use and is an encouragement to think more deeply about our methods.
The audience will leave with a renewed appreciation for the rich history of the way that design researchers do analysis, with new ways to argue for it, and potentially with new approaches to try in their own analysis practice.
