Alan Chen
Alan is an illustrator, filmmaker, designer, writer, and academic. He has been fascinated with story, art and people since childhood. Over the last 22 years, he’s been on a quest to bring these passions together, and use them to help others tell their own stories. From working on feature films and designing visual strategies to developing creative courses, he has spent most of his life dedicated to practising and teaching the creative process. In his most recent role, he was the story and visual communication lead at one of Australia’s most regarded strategic design consultancies, where he lived and breathed strategic design, pushing the boundaries of creative innovation. Now, Alan runs his own visual storytelling company, Sh8peshifters.
