Agile UX & the enterprise

Ever wondered what it’s like being a UXer part of a large organisational transformation journey from Waterfall to Agile practices?

Scott and Lexi will take you through their “in-progress” journey at ANZ, the highs and lows, the (friendly) battles fought, lost and won. Not just for those who work in large workplaces, this talk will practically explore:

  • Establishing a UX and Design team to work in an Agile environment
  • End-to-end process and documentation/artefacts
  • Research, when, where and how
  • The workspace environment
  • The cultural change

A bit more on each
Establishing a UX and Design team to work in an Agile environment

We’ll talk through the “persuasion” process of establishing the team structure to run alongside developers and testers (as opposed to traditional Waterfall), and getting budget to fund this.

End-to-end process and documentation/artefacts

What the agile process is like at ANZ from a UXer’s point of view. The information value exchange, and what type of artefacts we’ve produced in the process – prototypes, test documentation etc.

Research, when, where and how

What types of customer research we’ve conducted and where this fits into the process.

The workspace environment

How our physical environment has changed to allow for better ways of working.

The cultural change

The importance of cross-disciplinary team culture and bringing fun back in to large enterprises.
