An Agile UX playbook
Time and date
There are two dates for this workshop – 11 & 12 March. The one on 12 March is currently sold out, but get in touch if this is the only date you can attend – we may have some cancellations.
The workshops will both start around 9am and will finish around 5:30pm.
Description
Experiences drive culture, and Agile is as much of a cultural movement as it is a development process. Agile UX is about bringing the experience of design to the entire team.
At Atlassian, we do this through a library of design activities we call “The Playbook”. We’d like to share this with you in a full-day workshop. The workshop showcases how developers, product managers, testers, and designers work, play and think together to drive product design.
By the day’s end, you’ll have journeyed through a complete design lifecycle, as well as collected practical pointers on how to run the activities.
What you’ll learn
Here are the areas we’ll cover:
- Lean UX prioritisation- getting to just enough, just in time, without losing the big picture.
- Reframing – activities that explode your assumptions and encourage connection
- Dissecting – breaking problems apart and putting them together
- Prototyping – getting everyone involved in design
- Validating – lean, and with the team
And of course we’ll be talking about the practical, canny ways that we build culture around design and the user experience through showcases and communication.
Workshop structure
We’re going to simulate the product design process and run the activities with you, you’ll learn not only how to do the activities, but how to lead others in doing them too. You’ll be able to stop and dissect the process at any time.
Morning activities are around formation and analysis, afternoon is about design and validation.
Target audience
The activities are designed for anyone facilitating teams through product or experience design.
What you’ll take away
Participants get 2-sided 1-pagers of the activities we run in the workshop, printed on luxurious 180gm paper.
