One of the best parts of a conference is the social aspect. There’s plenty of chances to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
Both conference days have morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch breaks of course.
Monday is UX bookclub night. This month’s book is Just Enough Research. Join them at 6:00pm, at Southern Cross Bar (39 Abel Smith Street). There will be a sign on the table.
Join us for a little pre-conference party from 5:30-7:30pm, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Level 1 (this is the same place as the workshops and conference). We’ll be supplying drinks, canapes and the friendliest conference attendees in New Zealand.
Event partners Optimal Workshop will be putting on drinks and a bite to eat at their new studio – it’s at 176 Tory St, starting around 6pm (it’s about a 15 minute walk – if the weather is terrible we’ll arrange some maxi-cabs to go from the conference to the studio).
For most of our conferences, we get conference attendees to make bookings at local restaurants and you can join a dinner group. At the time of printing this booklet we haven’t arranged these yet, so will let you know about them at the conference.
Post-conference drinks will be at Fork & Brewer, 14 Bond St (just a short walk from the conference), starting at 5:30pm. These are sponsored by Optimal Experience and Optimal Workshop.
Come join local UX folks chatting about their thoughts on the UX NZ talks and workshops – a conversation to help digest what you’ve learnt and talk about how to apply it to your context. There are three options to choose from:
