Jaclyn Brown

Jaci Brown works at CSIRO on Climate Smart Agriculture, particularly Digital Agriculture. She is interested in all aspects on how people use and make decisions with climate forecasts for tomorrow, next year and next century. She blends her deep knowledge of atmosphere and ocean dynamics (Uni of NSW, Yale University) with a passion for delivering impact. Her work has spanned drought, ocean currents, tuna fisheries, developing countries in the Pacific, military ocean intelligence, grains, sugar, beef cattle,… and many, many more. Alongside a career in research Jaci is a keen science communicator and is often heard on radio or in TV interviews discussing this year’s climate. She spent four years working as a TV weather presenter on the Weather Channel and the ABC evening news.
