Designing tomorrow
The world makes it difficult to be an optimist. Lauren Currie OBE believes tomorrow ought to be better than today, and that design is the way we can make that happen.
Sharing her stage on the day will be participants from #UPFRONT, Lauren’s movement designed to get underrepresented voices on big stages. Since launching in 2016, #UPFRONT has brought over 500 people onto the stage for the first time in multiple locations across the globe.
From her experience in leading global change agency NOBL in Europe, co-founding Snook, Scotland’s first socially-focused service design agency, and building ideas like Know Sugar (the world’s first change agent for reducing public consumption of sugar), Lauren has learned that we can all do better at sharing the power and privilege we’ve been afforded through our life and work - and will share concrete ways that you can do it, too.
You’ll learn about design-led change and the tools and ways of thinking that can better how we work, learn and design.
