Let’s talk about the weather:  Bringing Climate Scientists on a UX journey to rural Victorian farms

Some Climate Scientists who wanted to build a new weather app got more than they bargained for when their UX colleagues took them out of the office and into the field - literally.  Sitting at farmers' kitchen tables and walking through their paddocks, they learned about the value of UX research and how it can be used to inform the strategy and design of products.  This talk is presented by two members of the team - a UX Researcher and a Climate Scientist - to give an honest account of the journey from both points of view.  If you ever wanted to learn more about farming, the difference between weather and climate, where you can get the best vanilla slice in Australia, or what your non-UX colleagues really think of you, we have you covered.
