When digital meets physical: UX of Signage

As our remit as UX professionals expands from digital to physical - we find ourselves thinking not just about digital navigation, but how it is presented physically. In this talk, Inna Fourer uses her experience in designing car and building decals, and applying it to projects where digital meets physical - the UX of Signage.

This talk discusses using the human-centred design process to identify the purpose of physical signage and therefore choose the right purpose, form, and design to get the desired outcome. This talk is for anyone interested in solving a service design problem, where signage and wayfinding is important. We will review examples of good and bad signage, looking at aspects of wayfinding, information and instructional design; providing the audience with a practical list of recommendations to apply to similar projects.
