How mobile phones have changed New Zealanders’ lives and why it matters

It hasn’t even been a decade since the first iPhone was released. In that short time our phones have become an integral part of our lives.

Through a series of research projects, we’ve identified eight key relationships that Kiwis have with their mobile phones and how these relationships affect their lives. The good, the bad, the empowering, and the sad. In this session we’ll talk you through these relationships via the data we have and the stories we heard.

We’ve mapped these relationships against what it means for people’s online buying behaviour, and how they communicate and connect with each other online. We look at how what we've learned can change the way we design on mobile.
