Barriers to innovation: Personal and organisational

We all have within us a fear of the new and unknown that can hold us back from pushing through the design process and bringing out to the world new ways of delivering value. That fear manifests in us as individuals; our organisations are prone to the same challenges.

Design-led approaches have the potential to encourage new ways of viewing the world and creating novel approaches to the delivery of services. That potential won't be realised if the personal and organisational barriers to change aren't addressed during the design process.

This talk will explore these barriers to innovation and present strategies for overcoming them, using real-world examples from Australia and around the world.
