Analysing research and identifying patterns

After you have completed user research and other data gathering activities to better understand your users and the domain in focus, the challenge often is how you sort through all the data to make any sense of it. The opportunity is how to turn the data into observations to then refine into insights for improvements going forward. But how? What skills are required? What activities are needed? This presentation will help you to:

  • Identify the data needed to create connections that lead to clearer insights
  • Run analysis or "sense making" sessions to help sort through data as a team
  • See the importance of customer and stakeholder "stories" to collect evidence to support strategic intention
  • Identify behavioural themes
  • See how observations can be bridged into design improvements
  • Nurture the spirit of continuous learning where user research sessions becomes a constant
