One of the best parts of UX Australia is the social aspect. There’s plenty of chances to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
There will be plenty of time to chat over morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch breaks of course.
On Wednesday evening, there will be a pre-conference party. This is a great chance to pick up your badge, catch up with folks you haven’t seen for a while or meet people before the madness of the conference itself. We’ll supply drinks and canapes.
We’ll send out details in the final email a week before the conference. Get in touch if you don’t get this (sometimes our emails disappear into spam).
On Thursday night, we usually ask attendees to book restaurants and join a group for dinner. It’s much better than standing around at the hotel saying ‘what are we doing?’. These are also a great way to meet people in a smaller setting.
After the conference, we’ll go out for a post-conference drink. Details of where will be in the conference booklet.
We’ve set up a UX Australia 2015 LinkedIn group. You can use this before the conference to chat with other attendees, arrange room-share, transport, dinners. Whatever you may like to talk to other folks about. We’ll keep it open after the conference so you can continue the discussion with people you’ve met.
It’s a closed group (to reduce spam & non-attendees) and may take a day or two for us to approve requests to join.
If you’re arranging something alongside the conference, please let us know. If it’s a community event we’ll let people know about it. If it’s a business event, you have to be a sponsor for us to promote it.
