Martin Tomitsch
Martin works as researcher and lecturer at the University of Sydney’s Design Lab, where he teaches interaction design for the web, mobile devices, and experimental interfaces. In his research he experiments with new technologies to create user experiences that merge the digital and the physical.
Martin is founding member of the Media Architecture Institute (mediaarchitecture.org) and coorganiser of the Media Architecture Biennale, which contributes to the discourse on the integration of digital technologies into the physical environment.
Martin has a background in informatics with a focus on human-computer interaction, which he studied in Vienna, Paris and Stockholm. Before joining the Design Lab, he worked as interface designer and usability consultant in software projects. Although currently dedicated to his life in academia he likes to keep a foot in the industry.
