Jurgen Spangl
Jurgen Spangl is an user experience designer with over a decade’s experience in developing user experiences on the web, desktops, mobiles, and physical products. Over the past five years he was a managing partner at GP designpartners – a product and interaction design studio in Vienna. Currently Jurgen is an user experience consultant at Vodafone Australia. He is a strong proponent of a holistic view on product development – including the product as whole and above all the human perspective within the social and environmental context. With a solid and balanced understanding of the complex relationship between design, business and technology Jurgen acts as a catalyst among the parties involved in product development.
Jurgen holds a PhD in Informatics from the Vienna University of Technology. He taught courses in user interface design and usability at two universities in Austria and currently gives guest lectures at the University of Sydney.
Jurgen is an active member of the user experience community and the co-founder of the interaction design get-together Vienna and the usability round table Hamburg.
