Toto and the art of building collaborative design teams

If you’re new to leading teams, the task can come across as formidable. Traditionally leaders are perceived by the business to hold the mantle of visionary. But that’s not all leadership is. This talk is about busting open the myth of leadership being tied to charismatic personality and establishing the importance of leaders as builders. And what better way than to parallel that importance with the output from a bunch of musicians who defined the sound of a decade? You may not know who they are – but you know their music. Their ability to collaborate was their calling card. Their excellence in delivery, their currency. And their craftsmanship was their legacy. In the same sense, as leaders we don’t need to be the frontman. Our legacy can be equally measured by the team we build and our ability to foster collaboration which results in change for the better.
