Scott Maywood-Bryant

Scott has been the Principal Design Researcher and leader of the ANZ Digital Customer Experience Design Research Practice since late 2015. The Design research practice supports human-centred design for Mobile and Apps, Internet Banking, Retail and Corporate/Commercial Banking and Enterprise mobility and Innovation.

He previously spent 7 years at News Corp Australia where after several senior experience designer roles he led the UX Research Practice for Digital, working across high profile news media products such as, Metro Mastheads, lifestyle magazines and classifieds.

He has a combined 20 years experience in the Digital User Experience Research & Human-Centred Design fields working for large corporations, enterprises and education in both Australia and the U.S including Ask Jeeves International. He holds two Masters degrees in Information Studies and Media Arts and has lectured within the Information & Interaction Design program at the University or Technology, Sydney.

He has contributed a co-authored chapter to a core UX curriculum text (Digital Experience Design: Ideas, Industries, Interaction) and published numerous papers as well as being a judge on national design awards.

He has been recently working within multidisciplinary teams that have adopted Agile and Lean UX methodologies and is comfortable adapting design research methods to evolving product development processes and emerging technologies.
