Julia Nelson

Julia Nelson has spent over a decade as a qualitative researcher working in business. After completing her undergraduate degree in anthropology at Stanford University, she began her career as a corporate social responsibility strategist at Business for Social Responsibility, working on the ground in Asia, Africa and Latin America helping oil, gas and mining companies understand and manage their social impacts on host communities, and then as the global auditor for community relations at Barrick Gold, one of the world's largest gold mining companies. She earned her MBA at Cambridge before pivoting into design research. Now she leads MOO's team of qualitative researchers uncovering how to create delightful experiences for customers, and has an annoying habit of asking "why?"
