Crowdsourcing insights

We have access to lots of data; past research, current user data, access to academic journals, and of course the internet.

It's really hard to digest it all, and it's even harder to get the other people on your cross-functional project team across it all too.

This is a talk about a technique that you can use in the early stages of a project to make the task of turning all of that existing content into insights easier, getting your whole team up to speed on what's already been done, and will help you achieve consensus around the gaps that need filling with new research while you're at it. As an added bonus, for new teams the activity also works as a forming and bonding activity

This process involves a bit of planning, a (little) bit of homework, and a whole bunch of sharing, all coupled with some well-established post-it focused synthesis techniques, some hashtags and a bit of fun!
