Design research in the 1890s…what?!

Research in it’s true sense has been around for centuries. When artists, scientists or even con-men get down to work, they do their research first. Research brings about the nuanced understanding of people, it sets the context of creation. This talk will draw parallels of the design research methods of the present day and those that existed in the 1890s.

Three years ago, I became a full-time UX Designer after years in software testing and QA. My typical day includes design strategy, loads of user testing, research and data gathering, cross functional collaboration and working on design flows.
