UX Australia 2012: Open for registration

16 May 2012

Registration is open for UX Australia 2012 – 2 days of hands-on workshops and 2 days of main conference presentations. Both will be held in Brisbane from 28 to 31 August.

The hands-on workshop program (28-29 Aug) has 10 fantastic, practical classes to teach skills you can take back to work straight away.

The main conference (30-31 Aug) includes 26 amazing presentations over 2 days by super-smart speakers.

Main conference early-bird pricing is $700 (until 30 June 2012 or for the first 200 tickets, whichever comes first). Workshops are priced separately and are $300 for half-day and $600 for full-day.

Register now: get in fast as we haven't even promoted it and have sold the first 100 tickets (we have more tickets than last year, but it's still likely to sell out).

Sponsors

We’d like to say a big thank you to these companies for supporting the conference:

UX Australia: Call for proposals & reviewers

13 March 2012

Presentations and workshops

The program for UX Australia 2012 is based on submissions from our community.

We are currently collecting proposals for the 20 and 45-minute presentations, half and full-day workshops.

Proposals for both close midnight AEST 16 March (just to be completely clear, that’s Friday night, Eastern Australian time, just after 11:59pm).

If you have something you’d like to share, please read the UX Australia 2012 call for proposals (this has information about what types of presentations we’re interested in and what you have to do to submit).

Reviewers

We also get the community involved by reviewing proposals – this helps us keep on top of what’s most interesting to you and what you’d like to see. It’s about 3 hours work, and is done between 19 March and 6 April. How to review proposals for UX Australia 2012.

If you have something you’d like to share, please read the UX Australia 2012 call for proposals (this has information about what types of presentations we’re interested in and what you have to do to submit).

Proposals close midnight AEST 16 March – plenty of time, but don’t leave it until the last minute.

Apogee Usability Asia: UX Australia 2012 sponsor

8 December 2011

We’re very happy to welcome Apogee Usability Asia as the first sponsor for UX Australia 2012. Dan and Jo have sponsored the conference every year so far. Last year they ran a poster competition with a prize of a trip to Hong Kong to attend UXHK.

They have something very interesting in mind for UX Australia 2012, but we’ll let you know about that a little closer to the conference.

Thanks and welcome aboard.
